slc's finally over. looking back, all that we've done, all the time spent worrying over whether this or that will work, coming up with backup plan if plan fails, even coming up with backup plan for our backup plan. and the list goes on..but i must say the short 2 days of camp had really been fulfilling. my initial worries were certainly not uncalled for. but in the end, everything went well. especially during night orienteering. i'm really impressed with how grp 1 managed to get thru that, taking a back seat and observing, the way they grew was really heartwarming in a sense. could still vividly rmb the scene at 1935 (old changi hospital part 1) which was the scariest station. they were all stunned at what they hv to do when they were at the bottom of the pitch black slope. and they couldnt even believe that this is what they will hv to conquer. but i'm really glad, they did manage it. and of course it was fortunate that due to some miscommunication, the end point of that station was situated a short way outside the actual one which was directly outside the hospital's torture chamber building.maybe it would hv been better if it was there at the actual site. maybe it would hv challeneged them more. but whatever it is, i'm glad enough.the way they gelled/bonded in such a short amount of time was really nice. tho it was more of like a gossiping session that did the job. hahha, could nv forget how clare and jacob chat-ted all the way, making the long road seemed short even for me, the listener most of the time.oh and anw, my group was, clare, jana, alicia, grace, michelle, jacob, zhiyang and leon. and of course bird, who facil-ed alongside with me.actually if i were to say everything i've got to say for camp, it will really stretch super long. but nvm, i shall just go on and say as much as i can for it. coz it has definitely been a wonderful experience.k so actually ice breakers didnt do much for our grp, our grp is like all tired and lazy, so we merely lazed around and stuff. i must say the real icebreakers was the night orienteering. or rather the start of it. tho they really had much to learn, like going thru things as a grp. some of them started to lead and off they went. and it was nice to note that they offered help to the rest who couldnt keep up. and by the time we reached some of the stations, they were alr carrying stuff that they didnt know belonged to who. i guess this was mainly due to the fact that they just wanted to get outta the place asap. so they just lugged everything and go. hahah. but it was great to see that they helped each other out.another highlight would be when we had to seek shelter under one of the incomplete shelter. had to squeeze with one other grp and that night was when we really bonded i guess. we all couldnt sleep coz it was so cold and and the wind was so strong that night. bit maybe coz of that squeezing it felt cosy and stuff and everyone just sat round and talked nonsense. and although the hai nan ji fan chants from other group were really irritating, it kinda didnt affect us much luh, coz we had prata. hahah, real prata, not madeup like theirs.anw, so for that night, i didnt manage to sleep. it was 6am in a flash and had to wake up alr. and coz of that i kept dozing off the whole day.k, gtg for now. shall continue when i get back.k, so rafting wasnt ok.. coz i guess the stations left for us werent the better ones, but whatever it is, gd job to sherman, staf and sean for rafting! (the triple 'S' team) oh and before aver gets angry. (y) to aver and her team for night orienteering too, seriously brought the best of ppl thru it. anf of course, clarence, who really did a lot for the whole camp tho he couldnt be with us. and annette for being the initial ic and doing so much :)moving on to team building games,'i think we're better at thinking games rather than physical games'-quoted from clare.hahah, coz we kept losing at the soccer and captain's cloth game but did super well for the flip plates game, that s how we came up with this conclusion.tug of war was seriously tough business. pulled like it's the end of the world and the ring's still there in the centre. so many occasions, it was so close to ours. super irritating. and the ring on the other side broke like in 10 seconds. LOL fyi, that ring cost like 5.80. anyone who suffered any injury from that, go look for ZAIYOU.anw, i'm kinda lazy to talk bout the stuff. so much happened, could still rmb em clearly even now. i guess the next part was the chilling in the room after campfire's ended. played 'i've nv' and shootshagmarry. LOL. and i swear i didnt know what shag meant la.anw, there were some really funny moments from 'i've nv' like how yuanting said, i've nv eaten laksa before coz i dun like the color, how bimbotic. LOL.and how leon said i've nv like anyone from the sane sex and we all turned to look at the girls sch ppl. HAHHA.AND THE BEST, michelle's : 'i've nv been 160cm before.'LOL, killed everyone la!k so anw, thats bout it all la. just gonna say that these 2 days hv been amazing, had ups and downs, but the gd company made up for it. and i really love sportsxcel ppl so much, gosh. SaiGangWarriors (Y)!although a lot of drama has happened, all the strained relationships and all, but afterall we're all part of tj right, and we really meant no harm at all. maybe we all needa brush up on our communication skills.anw, gd job to the sc, hc and oac!and i'm super proud of banner~ and yes, all of us too of course.k, so now it's time to start hw, and start training hard.and nicholas and trudy, i'm gonna start writing smth bout the 2 of u since u 2 found your way here. posted by GuoRong Saturday, November 15, 2008 . . .
