i'm so proud of my guys.
so proud at how they fought
so proud at how they were so sporting
so proud at how they behaved like real sportsmen
so proud at how they stood by the team from the first point till the last point
so proud,
so proud.

though the scoreline doesnt accurately reflect our effort and struggle, deep down in everyone's heart, everyone who watched how we shone on the court, they will understand.

it's smiles and tears right now, because it's over but also because it happened. i'll never get another team like this again. we went out there, we did our job, we fought. we didnt do nothing wrong, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. you did yourself proud, you did us proud, you did tj proud.

'see that tj guy over there? that's my team mate.'

have your parents ever asked you when you were young,
'so, what did you learn in school today?'

and it's only know that i realised how significant and how much meaning it carried. my parents never really asked that as far as i can remember but, on tv shows, it's always like that.

so, what have u learn today? or are you just going through everything for the sake of going through it.

megahouse function and training on friday, it was good. PTC too, just that the system kinda sucked. we had to wait super long just to see the teachers. but i'm thankful my mum stood up for me.

it feels really surreal. i hope nothing's wrong, or rather, i just hope that things don't get worse.
not now, not now.

i foresee that on wednesday, it will be two of you vs one of me. i dont wanna argue with none of you, so i'm just gonna swallow everything you throw, but i still dont think you understand. i need allies.

i hate it when i have to act like everything's well and cool when inside of me, i'm screaming my lungs out.
i need a punching bag.

happy birthday aver! cake was small, but at least it was a nice lil heart shape! i feel really bad about the late-ness/candle-less/pathetically small cake though. but u know we still love you awesomely-much!

back from camp and it's been a tiring 2 days with very little sleep and very much training. we should have slept under the stars instead of in the hall. it would have been so much better and cooler in both sense. the sky was amazing that night.

though things didnt quite happen my way, camp was still good.

and thanks for just being there for me. you didnt have to say much, but it meant a lot.
(#)!

for all the hugs, <3.

i haven't posted anything for quite some time. well, it's prolly because i often don't feel like doing so since theres so much thats happening and when i wish to put it down, my mind just blanks out.

ok, actually i think it was because i wasnt able to find time to do so. so anw, here's a lil update on what's been happening this few weeks.

track and field meet was fine i guess. i dont know how to put it too. i didnt win anything but thats ok because the rest were really good. i was just glad that i ran, and i really ran it out, for badminton and beta.

cheerleading, initially they announced that both beta and gamma tied. so we all thought there were 2 firsts. but then after a while, they said that there was a clear winner after the teachers voted. gamma won, 2-1 . it was super (u) to see all the cheerleaders just break down. i didnt know what to do afterall i wasnt part of cheerleading, but then again there were so many of my good friends in it, and it was just so heartbreaking to see them not get what they so very much wanted and worked for.

training that night started off bad, i had a headache, aftereffect of the sudden burst during the runs; i didnt warm up properly. but it was more than that that affected how i did. i was really still thinking bout the cheerleading results and how much it'll hurt. i guess this really shows how much i think they deserved it/worked. training got better nevertheless and after that it was sportsxcel induction camp.

nothing much happened for the first night, just some intro and ice breakers. the second day started off with duathlon early in the morning, which explains why i'm so tanned now. i didnt take part since there weren't any available slots and weiyang helped me pair with jeremy. so i was cameraguy for the day. it was super fun with the dslr mr loh borrowed for the school, the clicking sound's really cool. so i went around and snapped a lot of photos of sportsxceller, and just any other familliar faces.

and the funny story about the camera is that, i began snapping photos with it the night before and then mr loh told me he hadnt insert the memory card -.- i felt so stupid there and then, because i think i took like hundreds of photos.

after the duathlon, the netballers did their ice bath at ecp, and i joined them too. it was quite painful, but it sure helps. because once u get out of the ice, and get warmer. your legs really feel good.

so after that, we went back to school and started team building games. we had our tennis wall as usual. and it was super to see how the year ones went :O when we told them to scale the wall. we had that last year too. but we still managed to overcome it. they did too. and i think they even did better than us!

the next game was the green bean game, we scattered some green bean on the field, and told them to find like 120 or something. we wanted to use the whole field initially, but it was dead tough, so we scaled down to just a part of the field. lol, it'll be mad if we were to use the whole field, because we couldnt even see it when it's just a patch of grass.

then the pingpong blowing game. awesome too~ collected lotsa classic shots, but nth beats aver's slc shot.

then at night, it was night cycling. all the way to changi and back. i must say that was the event that got everyone together and tested everyone. it wasn't easy at all. and especially at the och station where the year ones really had to stick together and overcome it together. it didnt go totally smooth though, we had a lil misunderstanding along the way, and i hope it wouldnt create a rift between the year ones and twos.

anw, the cycling trip really made me realise how much i love this bunch of sportsxcel guys. we went thru so much together and we've seen each other in our worse before, and i guess thats how people bond. through thick and thin together. in front of them, i'm not afraid to even present myself in my ugliest and most vulnerable state, because i know how they will stand by me whatever happens. the same way i will if anything were to happen. the 8 of us cycled together on our way back to ecp and talked like the world simply stopped. we talked bout everything, and anything and it felt super heartwarming. i guess this was prolly the highlight of the night cycling part, not a part of it, but the whole of it, because i went through it with the greatest bunch of people who made life so much easier for me.

anw, we cycled for almost 8-9 hrs and by the time we went back to school, we hadnt slept for at least 24 hours. everyone was tired, but we still had to have our debrief before we broke camp. everyone shared a bit, and i hope this next batch of year ones can really help us do the things we didnt manage to. they still have a long way to go, and the things that they have to do, the shit that will happen will definitely get them closer to each other, and perhaps next year this time, they will be able to feel what i'm feeling now.

sportsxcel is probably the best thing that happened to me.

youth without borders the next day with my awesome bunch of sportsxcellers went well too. we came in 2nd overall for that wet wave arena. we should have been first actually since we came in 1st for 2 stations, 2 for one and 3rd for one. but due to the different in the points ratio of the stations, we got 2nd. but nvm, since we're still going into the finals on sunday. and i swear that day of the wet wave arena on monday was like a sequel to our long chat sessions during sportsxcel camp. while waiting for the other teams to finish and get filmed and stuff (yeah, the competition is filmed!) we just sat around and talked. we're really tight and close and it's good, just that our term is coming to an end, or rather, it kinda ended.

friendly that night wasnt good. i didnt play well, but as much as i dont like to blame it on external factors, i really have to say that i need a good tension, one that stays and i hope the stringing guy would do it well and good for me because the next time i go, it'll be stringing my rackets for nationals, and it's very important to me.

fast forward to thursday. pw results came out, i managed to get an A though the whole school didnt do as well as previous year, we got a 50 plus % A compared to last year's 87.2%. i dont really understand since there're some schools who can get 90 plus% A for so many years, why cant we do so. apparently it has something to do with the morals issue. and i shan't elaborate too much on that. and to huimin who nv ever once believed our exerace can managed an A, here's it, you got an A and i know how much it matters to you, and to a lot others especially since we worked so hard for it.

draws for nationals came out. we got jj, aj, cj, and yj. we got aj second year in a row. all i can say is that, theres always a reason for everything and it's up to us how we wanna take things. what matters is the 16 days to match day; how we want to show the rest what we've got here.
to my team :we've come a long way, and lets not stop here. push on, we've got each other's back covered, all the work we've put in, it will pay off. everything will work out, if you believe in yourself and the one next to you. nothing comes easy but thats precisely why we should do it and why it'll taste even sweeter when we get it. even if the whole world stops believing in you and i, keep pressing on. we have each other and thats enough. make me proud, and make the one next to you proud. lets do this.

time will show how much we deserve. and i still believe we deserve every bit more than some others.

-sometimes it sucks to have to live up to expectations and to not be able to behave like how you feel. we should all wear wear heart on our sleeves.

i found a new method of staying awake during lecture today. jointly devised by daryl and i. it's a bet, and that whoever dozes off during lecture first will be slapped by the other. it works damn well. you are welcome to join us if u have problem in this area. simply sit near us and ask to be part of this great thing.

training on monday and today was good. dear toenail, please be where u think u should belong soon, because u make me really uncomfortable when i play, being half broken, yet still there.

friday's a really big day. i wholeheartedly wish and hope and pray that everything will go well. theres spa, sports meet ( 4 by 100m, cheerleading too.), sportsxcel induction camp, training. it definitely is something to look forward, provided that i prepare well for it of course!

and i'm still trying to give my best for everything, i really think it will work. things happening around got me thinking about a lot of things. try standing aside sometimes, and just quietly observe people. you'll see a lot.

breakfast session with college leaders this monring together with the GIC scholars and sportsxcel-lers. both batches.

and i think sportsxcel is just so cool and awesome.

ok, ns checkup tomorrow early morning. gotta go get things done, and sleep!
please please please make friday a good one! i dont want to see no monkeys and tears!
